Men like to dance up to women. Men have always danced. From Ballet to Hip Hop and all things in between male dancers feature a growing number of. It is now perfectly acceptable for men to dance. TV shows for example Dancing with the Stars and Strictly Come Dancing within the UK could not occur without male dancers with the highest standard. Men are dancing everywhere. When ballet was initially invented in Italy in the 1500’s it had been only men who were allowed to bounce. Mens dancewear and costumes were so lavish and the dancers could hardly move. When Ballet was popular inside court of Louis XIV things were no better. The costumes hid the skill of the dancers as well as the feet, leg and arm lines.
In 1753 the Ballet Jason and Madea was performed without masks and high costumes and also this was considered a really daring step during the time.
In 1820 Carlo Blais published a manual of dance Trait Elementaire et Pratique de la Danse through which drawings of him appeared wearing outright shorts and ballet shoes. This is the first occurrence with the male performance dancewear and mens dancewear we’re very much accustomed to today.
