Paramedics are bringing health care to the Toronto Housing Community (THC) in a new style of a clinic. Some of the city’s most vulnerable are being treated all thanks to an algorithm that tracks the type of 911 call, the frequency, and who calls. Clinics have been set up where help is most needed according to this algorithm. Patient care is tracked and many services including information to community access programs are made available. The hope is to reduce emergency calls from being used as a way to receive primary care and help improve quality of life.
